Stoke Prior Sports and Social Club, Bromsgrove, B60 4AL

Situated in the middle of beautiful countryside, the Stoke Prior Sports and Social Club is conveniently located not far from Bromsgrove, with easy access to the M5 and about 3 miles from Bromsgrove train station. The site itself is bordered by a canal and Stoke Prior village; the village offers public houses and a local shop. The venue itself has a large car park, disabled access, and offers a main hall stage with a bar at the back and a private members room. The adjoining field can be used for tent or caravan camping and is quite extensive. If you need power you can speak to the bar; it costs about £5 a night (no need to pre-book).
The veranda of the hall will form the outside stage (bring a chair and make yourself comfortable!) and music will run from here on the Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 12 until 6ish, with the evening's musical entertainment beginning at 7 in the indoor stage.
Ticket costs: A full ticket costs £50 for the Thursday - Sunday, with day tickets available as well. They are available from here: https://raisingsteam.bandcamp.com/
How to get to the site: B60 4AL, located off Westonhall Road. About 3 miles from Bromsgrove Station, which offers buses and taxis.
Accommodation: If you've a tent, camper van, teardrop caravan, submarine on wheels or the like, there's ample room on the field to pitch (cars to be left in the carpark). Please note - no fires, as this damages the ground for other users. There are B 'n' Bs, hotels, pubs and other places offering accommodation at Bromsgrove (3 miles from site) or places like Kidderminster, Stourbridge or Birmingham (about 10 miles from site).
Site facilities: WCS in the main hall and porta-loos on site, plus washing facilities.
Please note there is no cash point within quick walking distance of the venue. The nearest is at Wychbold or the Morrisons (about 2 miles from the site).
Alcohol and soft drinks (and bar snacks) will be available from the bar in the main hall. Please don't drink your own alcohol within the building premises. There will be a mobile food provider on site from the Friday to Sunday.
Minors (under 16) must be accompanied by a responsible adult/guardian at all time. Unaccompanied children will be fed coffee and given copious amounts of sugary sweets before being returned to their responsible adults.
The event organisers are not responsible for any accidents, injuries, theft or cancellation because of circumstances beyond their control.
Raising Steam 2022: A Walk-through
You arrive at the site, aided by a couple of hand painted signs to draw attendees in. There's a car park to your right and the access road to the camping field is off to the left. You park up and sign in with the gatekeepers, who give you the entry badge. You head inwards ...
Entering the venue you see the hall to the left and on the wall a list of provisional times. In the hall you find stalls are already set up and an artist is sound-checking as the lights are tested. At the near end is the bar but you head outside.
The first stall you notice is the one being run by New Futures Nepal (NFN), who are also selling band merchandise. Passing them you see some of the outside stalls and groups of people already mingling.
Between the stalls and the canal is the main camping area. To your left is the football pitch, which is out of bounds. Beyond that, in the far corner parallel to the road, is the camper van camping area for those who want power (small fee payable at the bar). Everything is adorned with prayer flags and musicians and performers walk round, draped with blessed silk scarves. You have a really good feeling about this weekend, there's such a buzz ...
